What are some key elements to consider when furnishing a “show stopper” living room?  Pay attention to the visual appeal, comfort and practicality of each piece respectively.   Use your  all of your senses to achieve these elements.  Bring in a professional, a friend or spouse to help select the fabrics.  The process can be time consuming.  So the more help you can get the better.  Consider selecting one sofa with a repetitive pattern on a soft and beautiful background.  Bring in one or two skirted, arm chairs (depending the size of the room) to coordinate with the sofa.  Add in your choice of coffee table complete the furnishing process.

Our client downsized from a house in Potomac to a 1300 square feet condo in Silver Spring.  This 13' x 14' white box does not work as a bedroom for the couple.  Who could blame them.  Their original bedroom furnishings would no longer work because of the large scale and from being outdated. We have selected a new bedroom set to suit her new traditional taste.

The carpet has been stripped and the hardwood floor has been installed. With the walls painted we are now waiting for her furniture to be delivered.  They are excited and are looking forward to the big REVEAL!
