I just came across a great collection of furniture/artwork that is made from the old bowling alley lanes at Tava Lanes in  Riverside, California!  Not only is this table great to look at, but it is also extremely eco-friendly since it is composed of salvaged wood from the bowling alley.  The low, coffee table shown above is just one of many creations of William Stranger, a Pasadena designer/woodworker, who designs wood furniture using enviromentally responsible materials that make as little impact as possible on the environment.  This coffee table is part of his Second Life collection, which also features wall hangings.  For more information about William Stranger's work, check out his website at:  http://www.strangerfurniture.com/
